You should shave the area to be treated in advance of treatment. Don’t wax or pluck hairs, however, for six weeks prior as you want the follicles to be intact, and avoid time in the sun prior to treatment as laser hair removal works best on untanned skin. Be sure to avoid the sun for at least two weeks after treatment because your skin is temporarily extra sensitive to ultraviolet rays.
