Recovery After Contour TRL
Because Contour TRL is a deep laser resurfacing treatment, healing requires more downtime than lighter laser procedures. Immediately after treatment, you can expect redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to a moderate sunburn.
During the healing process, it is essential to keep your skin clean, moisturized, and protected according to Dr. Becker’s post-treatment instructions. Avoiding direct sun exposure is critical while your skin heals.
Most patients experience 2 to 4 weeks of downtime, although healing times vary depending on the depth of treatment. Many patients choose to take one to two weeks away from work or social activities while the skin recovers.
As healing progresses, your skin will become smoother, brighter, and more even in tone. Once your skin has sufficiently healed—typically after one to two weeks—you may begin wearing sunscreen and makeup as directed by your provider.
